Both! Todemy Experts can meet you both in person and online. When you create a new request, you can specify whether you want to meet your Expert face to face or online, and you can organise your session with your Expert. However we believe that face to face communication is more efficient than online, and we built Todemy based on the belief that connecting students with face to face Experts would provide additional value.

You can make a request using our Todemy Request Form. To access the form, you can talk to our Facebook Messenger bot and click on the ‘Find an Expert now’. Alternatively, you can access the form using the Facebook Messenger Menu, by navigating to ‘Request details’ -> ‘Create request’.
When you are making a request, you are able to add your price indication for the task. Experts will have the opportunity to respond to your request with their offer. If you accept this offer, this will be the amount that you pay as a student. We deduct 20% of this as a Todemy service fee.
Anytime that is convenient to you. When you have selected an Expert, we will provide your details to the Expert and vice-versa. It will then be up to you to organise your session with the Expert. The Expert may have provided some recommended times for you to select. This is a guideline only and you can choose alternative times that suit you better.
Todemy will share your contact details with your Expert, which includes your email address and phone number that you have provided. You can change this by using the Facebook Messenger menu. Your Facebook photo and First Name will also be taken from your Facebook profile and shared with the Expert.
It is recommend that you pay with our secure payments option through the Todemy payments solution. Additionally if you pay through the Todemy app, your Expert session will be covered under the Session Contract as per our terms of use. You will also be able to leave a review for the Todemy Expert after you complete your session and help other students make informed decisions.
You are able to pay your Todemy Expert by navigating to the menu, and clicking on 'Active Connection -> Release Payment'. We will only pay the Expert once you have released your payment.

It is completely free to create a profile, submit responses to students, and connect with students. Todemy will deduct a 20% service fee once a student has completed the session with you and ‘released payment’ through the Todemy Messenger app.
We share a few key pieces of information about the Expert with the Student whent he Expert responds to a student request to help the student make a decision as to which Expert to connect with. Contact details are also shared only when the connection is made. When an Expert responses to a student, the following information will be shared: Expert first name (from Facebook), Expert profile picture (from Facebook), Expert response, Expert profile (location, verifications etc.). On connection between student and Expert, the following additional will be shared: Phone number, Email address.
No, we do not share the Expert’s Facebook profile with the student or vice versa. For the Expert, only their first name and profile picture from Facebook is shared with the Student.
Please contact the student to organise your session. This could be in-person or online, depending on you and the Student’s preference. If the student selects you as their Expert, you will receive a notification from Messenger with the Student’s contact details including their phone number and email. We recommend you call the student as soon as they have responded to you, and organise next steps.
